The sausage dog that inspired me!

I’d been promising to do a daschund drawing for my dad for months, but as explained in my previous post I just didn’t have the motivation. Even when I tried it just never happened, and never turned out how I wanted it do. So the day before Father’s Day whilst I was at work I had an idea, something I thought was more thoughtful and more fun. I decided to make him one. So after work I popped to my mums borrowed her sewing machine and took some old clothes with me. (I stayed for a cuppa too, I’m not that rude.)

When I got home I realised I didn’t have a clue what I was actually doing so ended up just cutting out random bits and trying to make them work. I finally ended up with a sad looking thing, that wasn’t particularly made well at all… But it’s the thought that counts right?! (I also later googled how to make a toy daschund and found a much easier method. At least I know for next time.

So here he is the little guy, made from a cardigan, a shirt and stuffed with paper shreddings!
